ROAD CLOSURES ON 29 December 2019

Beyond the Limitations are promoting the Gloucester 10 Mile Road Race on Sunday 29th December 2019.

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order to close the roads temporarily under 16A of the road traffic Act 1984(as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 parts of the roads as detailed below. The order comes into force on the Sunday 29th December 2019 at 9.00am.

The Times below are the time we expect each section of the course route to be closed

10:00am -10.15am Just before the one way system from Hardwicke Bristol Road B4008 to T Junction left hand side of the road left in Haresfield Lane.

09:00am - 11.40am T Junction Bristol Road into Haresfield Lane to T Junction Haresfield Lane left into Pool Farm Lane

09.00am -11.40am T Junction Haresfield Lane left into Pool Farm Lane. From T Junction right hand side of the road Haresfield Lane left into a road called Stonehouse to T junction left B4008 to Stonehouse and Stroud and right on B4008 to M5 Jun 12 or to Gloucester B4008 and A38.

09.00am – 11.55am T Junction Brookthrope Lane as you come out the village of Colethroph turn left into Brookthrope Lane left hand side of the road only to T Junction left hand side of the road in Brookthrope Lane left into Naas Lane

09.00am-12.15pm T Junction Brookethrope into Naas Lane left into Stephenson Drive to roundabout on Waterwells Drive,Waterwells Business Park.

09.00 – 12.45pm left off Stephenson Drive into Brunel Court to Finish on Waterwells Business Park

There will be resident’s passes for the residents in Colethorph Village and on Pool Farm Lane which will allow the residents in Pool Farm Lane to follow the road under the railway bridge to Colethroph village to the T Junction Brookthrope Lane which is where you come out of the village of Colthorph and turn right in Brookethrope Lane there will be Highways Contractors to assist you to turn right and head to the village of Haresfield then on Haresfield Lane to T Junction diversion sign left into a road called Stonehouse to T junction left B4008 to Stonehouse and Stroud and right on B4008 to M5 Jun 12 to Gloucester B4008 and A38.

If you would like to return to your house on Pool Farm Lane or to the village of Colethorph you need to turn left off the B4008 into a road called Stonehouse and then at the T Junction Haresfield Lane turn left into Haresfield Lane and then at the T Junction on the right hand side of the road Haresfield Lane turn right into Pool Farm Lane there will be Highway contractor to assist you to turn right into Pool Farm Lane. The runners will be running in the same direction into the Village of Colethorph on Pool Farm Lane .It would be appreciate if you can drive slowly to avoid any incidents.

It would be appreciated if the resident on Naas Lane travel in the direction as the runners along Naas Lane left turn into Stephenson Drive has the runners run along Stephenson Drive they will be on the left hand side of the road to roundabout on Waterwells Drive which is in Waterwells Business Park Quedgeley.

If you live at the far end of Naas from T Junction Naas Lane into Brookthrope Lane you can turn left or right into Brookthrope Lane with the assistance of the Highway contractor at this point.

If you are coming from Brookthrope village you can travel along Brookthrope Lane and Haresfield Lane to T junction on the left hand side of the road Haresfield Lane and turn left into a road called Stonehouse there will be a division sign left to the B4008 left to Stonehouse and Stroud and right to M5 and B4008 and A38 to Gloucester but you cannot return on this route.

If you are coming from exit Haresfield 1 you can turn left into Brookthrope Lane and straight on into Haresfield Lane to T Junction left into a road called Stonehouse there will be a division sign left to the B4008 left to Stonehouse and Stroud and right to M5 and B4008 and A38 to Gloucester but you cannot return on this route.

There will be accredited marshals and Highways’ contractor and marshals at all the key junctions to direct the runners around the route for their safety. Some of the profits from this race are going to Haresfield Parish Council for repairs to the Village Hall.
